Ariana Grande only got to sit down for a second at the 2014 MTV EMA, poor girl. Right after she finished performing “Problem” and “Break Free” at the EMA
on Sunday, Nov. 9, a shocked Ari had to rush back on stage to accept
the Best Song EMA for “Problem.” And she clearly left her chill behind.
Ariana could hardly catch her breath — or find her chill (which may have
gone missing while she was floating high above the EMA stage) — as she
climbed up to the microphone in her silver spacesuit.

“Thank you so much. This means so much to me,” she said. “It’s been a
really crazy year. Last year I was presenting with Iggy [Azalea], and
this year I’m nominated for a bunch of things, and I got to open the
show, and I can’t thank everyone who’s supported me in this last year
enough.”
And, not to toot our own horn, but Ariana said MTV was the reason “Problem” came together. (Hair flip!)
“I also want to thank MTV for having me because last year when I met
Iggy, I feel like that’s part of the reason that ‘Problem’ happened,
which is why everything that happened this year,” she said.
And in a quick 40 seconds, she was finished rattling off thank yous
and left the spotlight with a rather cute “woo” of relief, only to lose
her chill again when she won Best Female too. Congrats!
